What makes Denver attract so many software development companies and tech startups? Twentyseven Global weighed in!
In a recent article, Business 2 Community named Denver as one of the three best alternative tech startup cities with less traffic and better housing options compared to Silicon Valley. The article named venture capital funding firm Galvanize and Denver’s low-cost housing and beautiful scenery as some of the top reasons for the ranking, but we at Twentyseven Global have our own reasons why we love the community so much.
Creighton O’Neal, vice president of client service at Twentyseven Global in Denver, said, “It’s no surprise to us to see Denver ranked in the top three,” he said. “In addition to Galvanize, our office at INDUSTRY is an excellent collaborative co-working space for startups. Cloud Elements, FiveFifty and Uber are a few the many diverse companies that make INDUSTRY such a unique and fun environment.”
O’Neal continued, “Recently during Denver Startup week, Mayor Hancock announced an exciting project the INDUSTRY team is undertaking called Stride. Not only will Stride contribute to the health technology ecosystem in Denver, it will also create hundreds of jobs, housing and other amenities for the community.
Additionally, O’Neal said that Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has also shown his ongoing support for Colorado businesses, announcing during Denver Startup Week that the State of Colorado was awarded a $6.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense to create and grow jobs for small- to medium-sized businesses. “Yet another reason why we are ecstatic to be part of the Denver business community!” O’Neal said.
