Kansas City-based startup and Twentyseven Global client Happy Food Co. has been invited to present at the annual Colorado Capital Conference on November 15-16 in Denver. The conference is hosted each year by Rockies Venture Club and is open to angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, service providers, students and the general public. The Rockies Venture Club has a longstanding history of connecting investors to promising startups.
Known as the “Redbox of food”, Happy Food Co. will be among 11 startups pitching at the conference, however, they are the only startup from outside of Colorado to be invited. The conference will feature two keynote speakers from Silicon Valley Bank and two panel discussions. The first panel will cover options for funding that are complementary to venture capital and panelists will include investors and partners at several Colorado venture capital funds. The second panel will cover funding sources that can replace or be used instead of venture capital when it’s unavailable. Steve Roatch, CEO of Twentyseven Global, is an investor in Happy Food Co. and will be accompanying the firm at the conference.
Happy Food Co. prepares and delivers pre-packaged dinner kits using fresh and local ingredients. The kits are sold in grocery stores and provide simple and delicious dinner solutions portioned out for either two or four servings. Jeff Glasco, founder of Happy Food Co. was inspired by a trip to the grocery store with his wife while they struggled to decide what to make for dinner. Knowing this feeling is shared by many working and busy families, Glasco aimed to create a solution. Thus, Happy Food Co. was born.
