Steve Roatch, CEO of Twentyseven Global, weighed in on a new study that found that the number of investments in Colorado companies has reached its highest point in five years. According to Xconomy, in 2013, Colorado’s venture-backed companies received almost $1 dollars, and over the past five years, $4.2 billion have been invested in the state’s emerging companies.
Roatch said, “We opened an office in Denver at Industry to immerse ourselves in Denver’s vibrant and rapidly growing technology community. The energy of that community is palpable. According to Xconomy, tech led the way for Colorado companies, bringing in more than $455 million last year. Forty-nine percent of the 281 deals last year additionally involved tech companies.
