Twentyseven Global, a mobile application and software development company, was named No. 8 for fastest growing companies in the Midwest and was ranked No. 1 in the Kansas City area according to Flyover 50.

Flyover 50 includes 11 companies based in the geographic area covered by Silicon Prairie News and 50 companies in a 20 state area of the Midwest. The Flyover 50 list was compiled by Five Elms Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm located in Prairie Village, Kan. The 50 companies are picked based upon percentage of revenue growth. Companies must be based in the Midwest area and have 2011 revenue greater than $1 million.
