Kansas City pilot launches Airport Life mobile app for travelers
A Kansas City pilot frustrated with the complications of air travel is getting into the mobile application business.
Dan Stratman, a 23-year airline pilot and recent graduate of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s FastTrac program for aspiring entrepreneurs, launched Airport Life four months ago.
The mobile app, which helps U.S. passengers find gates, terminals, parking spots, airport merchants and other features, already has been downloaded more than 14,000 times. Stratman has poured $100,000 into the venture, which he predicts will be profitable by the end of 2012.
