Twentyseven Global Celebrates at the KCSV Block Party

By Steve Roatch, CEO of Twentyseven Global

The Kansas City Startup Village (KCSV) turned one year old on Oct. 5, 2013, and we were there to help them celebrate as a sponsor for the event.

Steve Roatch, CEO of Twentyseven Global, said, “We had a fantastic time partying with KCSV and everyone who came, and we’re honored to have been a sponsor. Even in just one year, KSCV has already done so much for startups and the community at large. We’re looking forward to many more years of KCSV and can’t wait to see how they help Kansas City entrepreneurship grow.”

The birthday bash included different festivities, from live music and a DJ to art and antiques. KSCV founders Adam Arredondo and Matthew Marcus (pictured below with Jason Banks of Mayor Holland’s office and Brittain Kovac from KCSV) even made an appearance addressing the crowd.

In a Silicon Prairie article covering the anniversary, Matthew Marcus, founder of KCSV, said, “Two years ago I never intended to help build a startup community. Put in a position like this, do you step up to the plate or walk away? I’ve always wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. In 10 to 20 years, I hope to look back and see something that’s grown, knowing it wasn’t because of me but I was at least a part of it happening.”
