Silicon Prairie, a digital media company that highlights entrepreneurs and investors around Omaha, Des Moines and Kansas City, announced the winners for the 2013 Silicon Prairie Awards on Aug. 29.
Steve Roatch, CEO of Twentyseven Global, said, “It was exciting seeing all of these great startups, companies and investors come together to be honored like this. More and more, the Midwest is becoming recognized as a technological and entrepreneurial leader. In Kansas City, tech-related jobs are in high growth, and with such a great network of support for entrepreneurs provided by SparkLabKC, Dream Big America, Pipeline and Silicon Prairie, I can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
According to Silicon Prairie, the awards received hundreds of nominees which were then whittled down to 48 finalists. The 12 winners were announced in August at the 2013 Silicon Prairie Awards show.
