Twentyseven Global Opens Denver Office As Entrepreneurship Grows In Colorado

The opening of Twentyseven Global’s new Denver office in March comes at a time when entrepreneurship is blossoming in the Mile-High City. According to a report recently released by the Kauffman Foundation, entrepreneurial activity in Colorado increased from 2012 to 2013 to become the fifth most entrepreneurial state.

The report revealed that not only did Colorado move from No. 12 to No. 5 on the list, entrepreneurial activity in Colorado is running counter to the nation’s, which saw a decline in the percentage of adults per month who started businesses.

Twentyseven Global’s team is excited to share the entrepreneurial spirit in Colorado. Steve Roatch, CEO, knows that passion firsthand and has long been a voice in the startup community. He left his job at Accenture to launch Twentyseven Global full time many years ago and today supports tech startups and entrepreneurs as a member of several organizations including the Colorado Technology Association, KCnext and more. Last year, Steve started Factory 27 to provide full-service software development services at affordable rates to startups.

Creighton O’Neal, vice president of client service at Twentyseven Global, said, “We are not surprised that entrepreneurship has increased in Colorado. We’ve found Denver to be exceptionally entrepreneurial. We’re new to the Denver technology and business community, but in the short time we’ve been here, we are impressed with the entrepreneurial spirit and willingness of others to mentor and collaborate with the local start-ups. Other metropolitan areas should study the evolution of Denver’s startup community. From government to venture capitalists to established businesses, all have played a role in the success of this entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
